OPERATOR CERTIFICATION
EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT GRANT (ERG)
DRINKING WATER WORKSHOPS

Workshops will be limited; please register early.

The ERG work plan provides educational assistance to certified operators of community and non-transient, non-community public water systems serving less than 3,300 persons. The ERG program was developed to provide training and benefits to eligible, certified operators; however, any operator or community member may attend department-sponsored technical training at no cost to the attendee.

Attendees will receive PDHs for each session successfully completed.

AN ELIGIBLE OPERATOR IS:

    Certified in Arizona in water distribution or water treatment

    AND

    Employed at an Arizona community water system or Arizona non-transient non-community water system that serves fewer than 3,300 persons.

During the period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010, any eligible operator is offered:

  1. Two nights lodging for each ERG workshop that you attend to be held statewide,
  2. Two technical books per year,
  3. Per diem during workshop for each attendance.

Operators not eligible for grant reimbursement will be allowed to attend any workshop on a space available, first-come, first-served basis.

There is no cost for this training.

TEXT BOOKS
Each eligible operator may choose two (2) books per year from the list on the registration form. They will be handed out at the workshop.

OR...... Each eligible operator may choose one (1) book per year and one (1) year's access to online training.

ONLINE TRAINING
Attend classes from the comfort of your home, office or anywhere with internet access - anytime! Each eligible operator may choose to take online training courses to enhance their skills and fulfill their PDH requirements. Fifty (50) online courses are available to choose from. Completion of one course is equivalent to 1 PDH, as approved by ADEQ.

Certificates with login information to the website will be provided at the workshop. Click here to see list of available course titles to choose from. You will have unlimited access to each of the following courses for up to one year upon receipt of certificate. Each course qualifies for One (1) PDH upon successful completion. Average course length: 1 hour.

GATEWAY CC INFO FOR TESTING
GateWay Community College is the official state-wide proctor of the ADEQ Operator Certification exams in Arizona. Exams will be offered on campus and other locations throughout the state. Click here (http://environment.gatewaycc.edu) for the latest testing information.
